Well, I'm off bed rest. Praise. The. Lord. PTL, people. Seriously.
Went in for my routine OB exam and with no further explanation for the chest pains, she is assuming its some sort of weird nerve thing or muscle spasm. The pain meds and muscle relaxer should be fine to handle it if it comes back, so we're not worried anymore.
The only thing the doctor is concerned about is my weight. Apparently, I need to eat more ice cream. Although I'm measuring like the baby is growing perfectly, I haven't gained a pound since surgery. That's a month of no weight gain. And actually, I lost a bunch after the operation because the morphine and pain medication freakin' messes up your system hardcore, and the last thing you can possibly think about is food.
So, I'm on the weight-gain plan. Lots of little meals throughout the day. Lots of high-protein/high-fat foods (nuts, meats, peanut butter, cheese and yes, even some ice cream!) Shouldn't be too tough, right? We'll see. I've turned into a terrible eater since I've been pregnant. I'm just not stoked on food, to be honest. Yes, I know that's really weird. I don't even have cravings for things. I've added a couple of very not-Nish items to my Subway sandwiches when I order them (since when do I like pickles and tomatoes on my sub?), but haven't had any full-on cravings at all since week 4 of carrying this kid.
Anyway, since I got off bed rest, we have tackled the baby's room. The paint is done and it looks dynamite! Slate blue on the window wall, beige on the other walls. We're really happy with the colors! Now I'm off to order the crib, dresser and hutch. Once the furniture is in, it's all downhill, it feels like. I'll post pictures of the room once I get all the tape off & plastic out.
More to come!

I am very, very happy to hear that all seems to be going well for you finally!! Also, I demand a shot of the belly & nursery. It's hard to see it from across the country ;)
