You may have noticed a bit of a change on the Wanderings page. It's an ode to our love of raw fish. I got tired of the same old look and wanted to brighten it up a bit in here. It was becoming complacent.
And no, we are not dead! Apologies for the lack of writing. In all honesty, our lives have kinda evened out a bit and I can actually say we're a bit more "normal" than we'd like. We work the nine-to-five gig, we play with the dogs, we cook dinner, we hang with friends and we watch our favorite TV shows. There just hasn't been much to report outside of the weather, and you can watch the news for that.
I will say that Evan gave us an incredible Christmas present... the board game Settlers of Catan. We've been playing this game for the last year with other friends who own it, but have had trouble finding this game in any of the local stores. Now, we have our own Settlers nights! If you are ever given the opportunity to play this game, don't pass it up! It's kind of like Monopoly meets Risk, but a lot faster and more entertaining. You can bargain with people for resources, and it can get intense as people play dirty and try to screw each other over. It's great fun, particularly if you add a bottle of wine to the mix.
Work is going great for the both of us. Erik is busy booking trips and planning for the upcoming summer on the rivers. From this angle, it looks like the Main Salmon might be the place to be! It's booking fast and people are getting excited about it. Orange Torpedo Trips has also been named one of the "Best Adventure Travel Companies on Earth" by National Geographic. How do you like them apples?
As for me, things at Imago Dei are busy and crazy, as usual. We're preparing for the lenten season, and we're moving towards a more liturgical vision & presence as a community... it's very stirring, and the philosophy and ethos behind it is a great holistic picture of the ministry of Christ. We're going to be completely redesigning the website, we've got a bunch of candidates for Deacons, and we're continually growing every week. So, I stay quite busy.
I've also been writing a lot, pushing forward with the book that Nancy and I are co-authoring. The vision is solidifying and the content is going to be intense, full of life and truth. I'm really excited to get the writing finalized so we can move forward. It's gonna be epic!
That's about all the news from this front. We'll try to write more often, but I won't make any promises!

Thanks Nish! I love to check in here! And can you tell me what your favorite kind of sushi might be? :) I just love sushi too. I'm not very adventurous, but the spicy tuna really does it for me. Yum! I love hearing that you guys are doing well at work and love TV and games. Sounds about like our lives too.
I miss you. I love you friend. Hope you are well!
