Labor Day in Sunriver

|
What an amazing weekend! On Thursday evening, Amie and Tommy (Erik's sister and her husband) flew into Portland with the kids in tow. The last time we saw our niece, Kate, she was just barely learning to walk and talk. She is now a little cruising chatterbox! They also brought along our new nephew, Oliver. At only 4 weeks old, it was amazing how well the little guy did with traveling all over and adjusting to new surroundings. He's adorable, by the way.

For the weekend festivities, we headed to Sunriver! It's a gorgeous area of Oregon, just southwest of Bend. It's a mountainous area, so it was chilly but sunny. It reminded me of Colorado and how much I missed the dry mountain air. We hung out with the whole family! We rode bikes, played on the playground, took pictures and went to Elk Lake.

It was a really special weekend for us. We don't get to see Amie and Tommy much, since they live in New York City... so it was amazing to spend some good time with them and our niece and nephew. We're looking forward to many more opportunities to spoil them with our love and affection in the future. :)

Here are some pictures from the weekend!

This is Ranger. By the way, we got a new dog. We adopted him a week ago! He's an amazing and beautiful German Shorthaired Pointer. Shasta loves him too. :)
